My second headline? The marvelous Elizabeth Hand is going to write the introduction to my collection! Liz was one of my mentors at the Stonecoast MFA program. She has seen the rough, the ugly, and the unready, and still she has faith. Liz Hand was the first writer I knew who discussed her approach to writing in ways that sounded familiar to me. She convinced me my crazy, organic, non-linear approach was totally legit. It was nothing to be embarrassed about and could actually work. That message was gift enough. I am thrilled she has agreed help me one more time and write an introduction to this strange little book of mine.
